I am a Professor of Philosophy at the School of Philosophy in the University of Southern California. My research focuses on philosophical logic and metaphysics.

I received my PhD from the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy at MIT in 1999. I taught in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Rochester between 1999 and 2005, and I spent one year in the Department of Philosophy at The Ohio State University. In Fall 2006, I moved to Pembroke College and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Oxford, where I taught between 2006 and 2011.
